This is a guide intended to help people with creating a world of warcraft in game guild, , for whatever purpose you may have. It also contains advice and suggestions, intended to prevent a large amount of aggravation, and create a smooth, workable guild from the beginning. If you just want to instantly make a guild, without regard to structure or future, as well as inter-guild relations, then you'll only need to read the short pre-face walkthrough to know how to do that operation.

How do I create a guild?

First, the basics :
You need:
10 silver.
10 accounts, including yourself, who are near you.
10 minutes.
To be near a <Guild Master> NPC.

Step 1: Go to a capital city, and find the location of the NPC with the <Guild Master> tag. If you don't know where he is, ask a guard, about 'Guild Master' and you'll get his location marked on your map. When you find the NPC, ask him 'How do I form a guild', and then 'Purchase guild charter' and type in a name for your guild. This can be changed later, during the signatures phase.

Step 2 :Next, you need to gather 9 signatures for your guild. A signature can be done by a player's alt, but any one account can only sign the charter once. This means you need 9 separate paying accounts to form your guild. It's suggested that you gather these people beforehand, to save on time, and to make sure you're recruiting people you know.

Step 3 : Once you have your 9 signatures, go back to the <Guild Master> NPC, and go 'How do I form a guild', then 'Register a guild charter'. Be sure that you've chosen the right name for your guild, with proper capitalization, as once it's registered the only way to amend the name is to reform the guild, therefore, for example, you'll want the name looking it's best - <The Dwarven Musketeers> looks better than <the dwarven musketeers> and it gives your guild more impact, and makes it look more serious. That's not to say your guild will fail without capitalization, but it's about appearance. Once you've registered your guild, it will be created, with the 9 other people who signed up, and you as Guildmaster.

<Also, please note that the guild charter must be in your main backpack, in order for this to work.>

How do I make a guild charter?
You need :
10gold
To be guildmaster
An established guild
To be near a <Guild Master> NPC

Now that you've formed your guild, you'll probably want a tabard. A tabard is one of the top priorities, that I've noticed, for a newly started guild. The creation of a tabard is very similar to the creation of a guild. All you need to do, is talk to the <Guild Master> NPC, and press 'I want to create a guild crest'. This will take you to the tabard creation panel, where you are able to change a variety of factors. You will need to be the guild master to edit or create the guild tabard. I suggest that you deliberate over your tabard choice, as once it's been chosen, it's another 10gold that you'll need to pay to change it.

Your members can buy the new tabard from the NPC nearby the <Guild Master> NPC. Who sells them for a base price of one gold, which scales with discount.
