Recommended realms
Normal/PvE: Saurfang, Terokkar
PvP: Burning Steppes, Daggerspine, Karazhan
RP: Steamwheedle Cartel
RP PvP: Sporeggar

Saurfang (normal/PvE), Battlegroup Misery, opened January 31 as a fresh realm (no migration to the realm for 90 days).


Free Character Migration (FCM)
No FCM will be open this week for English realms.


Paid Character Transfers (PCT)
All English realms follow the regular PCT rules, found here:

As an official representative of Blizzard, my personal opinion would pretty much be official, wouldn't it? You're essentially asking an insider for inside information. ;)

Much better than before, but not prefect. We might re-open some migrations once we've seen how the population settle for now.

No other realms are in the situation Magtherdon was in when we started these migrations. While we won't categorically dismiss the chance of this being done for other realms in the future, there are many factors (including risks and possible repercussions) to consider and something typically kept to extreme situations.

Because the PvE realms are sufficiently populated, according to the population data we track constantly. Of course, on some realms it might not seem like it, e.g. if your faction is the smaller one and most of the players of the faction stick to their guild only and are mainly found in instances when logged on. But we would not have opened Saurfang if the other realms didn't already have a very good population.

Some Magtheridon migration opening this week. Next week is more likely (but in no way guaranteed) to see some regular high-population to lower-population PvP realm migration.
