Intro:

Right, Voice Chat has been enabled on the 2.2 PTR right now. This feature (along with sounds in general) will need a lot of testing. So lets centralize the feedback and post all VOIP (aka Voice chat) feedback here (this also includes the chat tab in Social)

VOIP will work in the following environments:

• parties
  
• raids
  
• custom channels
  
  It will NOT work in
  
• Cross-server Battleground
  
• Non custom channels (trade, general channel etc)
  

Known problems:

• Voice Chat not working on PowerPC-based Macs (will be fixed in an upcoming PTR)
  

Problems:

• Voice tab vanishes in the sound window after using it one time or using the options Window in general (/console reloadui for work-around) (reported by Schwick)
  
• The Voice volume in general is really low compared to Teamspeak (reported by Schwick)
  
• The sound sometimes takes its time to return after testing the recording (reported by Schwick)
  
• Left/Right clicking on the channel names in the "Chat"-panel doesn't always work (reported by Schwick)
  

Other feedback:

• There is no way to see if a channel is voice activated or not (reported by Schwick)
  
• Maybe a good idea to make a syndication in which channel you are broadcasting your voice to (reported by Schwick)
  

When submitting feedback:

Please provide as much info as you can (including Sound card, how to repeat the steps etc..).

Test Channel:

To simply find people who are willing to test out VOIP, simply type "/join voiptest". You will join the test channel.
