17/12 Migration: Molten Core --> Stonemaul
| by Thundgot | 17/12/2007 17:06:30 Free migration will be open from Molten Core to Stonemaul from 18:00 CET Monday December 17th until 10:00 CET Tuesday December 18th. As always the migration might close earlier should the migration numbers prove to be higher than desired. The purpose of the migration is to even out the population between Molten Core and Stonemaul so that none of these realms experience regular queues. This will require some migration, but not an exodus which would force the migration to close early. We will keep you continually updated on this as the migration progresses. I posted in the thread about it just now. If at least some move from Molten Core to Stonemaul there should be no problem opening PCT to Molten Core later this week. |

And I guess hopes for only mature responses were a bit high too. Nobody said each "glass" needs to be exactly 2/3 full. The goal is that none should be more than 100% full. The closer we can get to 2/3 for each the better, but we're not going to run migration again and again to reach that. |

If you have other suggestions on how to best address the population on the involved realms, please feel free to post those instead of this kind of posts. While surely a lot of players will not move back, I think you're exaggerating the "told you so" effect that you mentioned earlier. Some will move, hopefully solving the queues for everyone. We admitted that we can't predict everything (the Stonemaul migration was unexpectedly high - the Warsong one was roughly what we expected for both realms), and now provide a solution to address the situation we ended up with. I don't think any of that shows drunkenness or immaturity, as you suggest. Suggesting others are making decisions while drunk is not very constructive though. I won't continue discussing that though. Let's focus on the activity at hand, whether you personally dislike the migration or not. ;-) Edit: typo |

To or from? :) Paid Character Transfers (PCT) should be available to Warsong over the coming days, as long as the queues don't return. This is an automatic system which checks the population and locks PCT when the realm is heavily queued. |

In fact, it's not. :p While sober has several meanings, I think it's more common to use other words when thinking of being modest, subdued, calm, etc. If you meant something else than the antonym of "drunk/intoxicated", I'm afraid I simply misunderstood you. ;-)

While I'm fairly sure they're aware of it already, please make sure to report it to the Game Masters. Such things are investigated by our technical teams based on reports from the GMs. |
