There was a slight flaw in the most recent edition of the Mac Burning Crusade **Closed Beta** installer - the version that could install on top of WoW 2.0.1. The consequence of this flaw is that the install of the actual product could be interfered with, if and when you go to install the shipping version of Burning Crusade which becomes available January 16th.

However, it is not hard to work around this flaw. Here is what you need to do prior to installing Burning Crusade:

a) move the Burning Crusade beta folder to the trash and empty the trash. As Closed Beta is coming to an end, this should not be a great loss :)

b) run the standard version of WoW once, after you have deleted the Closed Beta folder from your system.

Q: What if I never participated in the Burning Crusade Closed Beta?
A: You should not be affected by this issue.

Q: What if I was in the Burning Crusade Closed Beta, but I only used the original 1.12 compatible beta installer?
A: You will probably not be affected, but just to be sure, go ahead and delete the Beta game folder and run classic WoW one time before initiating the installation of Burning Crusade.
