We require high availability from the facilities that host World of Warcraft across the world and we closely monitor our network partners' performance. In the case of the power-outage affecting Germany and France on November 4th, the redundant systems supporting the impacted realms in one of the data centers that we use located in France and operated by Telia failed to provide continuity resulting in a loss of service at 22:20 CEST. The site was made operational again the following morning and all realms were made available at approximately 08:45 CEST.

The technical issue has been escalated to Telia and we await the results of further investigation and resolution. All players having an active character on realms hosted in this data center will have one day game time credit added to their game account. This credit will be added in the upcoming weeks.
